Q - When is the Tour?
A - Saturday, April 19th.

Q - How much is it?
A - The fee has not yet been set.


Q - When can I register?
A - Registration will open in December 15th, 2007.

Q - How do I register?
A - Instructions are available at www.actc.org/tb/tb_info.html

Q - When I've registered do I get an information package?
A - No, you will pick up your wrist band, pin, and route sheet at the sign-in. This year you also have can pay an additional fee and have this material, along with any pre-ordered t-shirts or jerseys mailed to you in advance.

Q - How many riders are accepted?
A - Registration is limited to 2000 riders.

Q - How late can I register?
A - Registration closes when 2000 have registered.

Q - Can minors register?
A - No. Minors must be registered on the application of a paying adult (age 18+) who is their parent or legal guardian. The minor must also carry a signed medical release and ride in the company of parent or guardian.

Q - Where is the Tour held?
A - All routes start at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd, Gilroy, CA 95020

Q - What routes are there?

A - The routes have not yet been set for 2008. For 2007 there were:
  60K has 990 feet of climbing and two rest stops.
100K has 2065 feet of climbing and two rest stops.
100 Mile has 4930 feet of climbing and five rest stops.
200K has 7100 feet of climbing and six rest stops.
All routes end up back at Gavilan College.

Q - What time can I sign in to begin riding?
A - 200K and 100 Mile riders between 7:00 am and 8:00 am.
100K and 60K between 8:00 am and 9:00 am.
You can also check in Friday evening April 18th from 4 pm to 6:45 pm at the First Congregational Church, Hamilton and Leigh, San Jose.

Q - What is the latest time that I can start riding?
A - 9:30 am, as sign-in closes at 9 am. If you start later you risk finding rest stops closed.

Q - Can I sign-in for others in my group?
A - Yes, but it may take longer as you may have to go to different lines for each sign-in.

Q - If I sign up for one route can I change my mind on the day of the ride?
A - Yes.

Q - What kind of bike will I need?
A - We recommend a well maintained multi-speed bicycle (triple chain rings are advised for the longer options).

Q - Is there a hot meal at the end of the tour?
A - Yes, it is served in the Student Center at Gavilan College, 12n to 5pm.

Q - Are there campgrounds or motels nearby?

Q - Are showers available after the ride?
A - No, you may be able to make arrangements with the motel at which you stayed overnight.

Q - Is there SAG support?
A - Yes, all routes are patrolled by SAG vehicles. When the course closes at 5pm any riders still on the course will be picked up by SAG and transported to Gavilan College.
